Famous Places To Visit In Vrindavan, Mathura : Holy Town of India

Image
Like every working professional longing for a break from his hectic working schedule, my colleagues and I decided to take a short road trip from Delhi to Vrindavan (a holy town in Uttar Pradesh, India which is one of the top holy places to visit in North India). Located in the northern part of India, this is a perfect weekend getaway for those residing in or around the capital of the country, Delhi.  After looking up for the famous places to visit in Vrindavan (also known as God’s own abode), surfing on the internet to find facts about Vrindavan India and packing our backpacks, we started our 3 hours of road journey to Mathura from New Delhi at half past 5 in the morning. Driving through the beautiful farms of Haryana and watching sunrise was the best part of this journey.  Though we were tired after driving at a long stretch, we got re-energized looking at the beauty of the town. On our way, we had north Indian breakfast at the very famous Gulshan Dhaba at around 8 AM. As so...

Vrindavan Sightseeing Tour by Cab

Image
The city of Vrindavan is considered quite sacred in Hinduism. This is the place where Bhagwan Krishna spent his childhood on the banks of the river Yamuna. The documents reveal that Lord Krishna performed a divine dance in Vrindavan itself. Not only this, but Krishna had also given the message of love through Radha with Rasleela. This is where Krishna stole the clothes of the Gopis while she was bathing. He also destroyed many demons here. Vrindavan is a major pilgrimage center for Hindus and has around 5000 temples. In 1515, when Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu visited this place in search of all the places associated with Lord Krishna, Vrindavan came into existence again. It is surrounded by holy sites with its spiritual power. Since then Hindu saints have been planning holidays in Vrindavan at least once in life. When you go to visit this city, you will find that people keep chanting Radhe-Krishna even during their daily routine. History of Vrindavan The ancient past of Vrindavan Dham is ...

The place is called Nandgaon, it is located around 15 km from Kosi Kalan, which is on the NH 2. See the map below: Nandgaon is known as the place where Krishna was brought from Mathura by his biological father and is named after his second father Nand. There is a very famous temple of the Shani Dev, locally it is referred to as Shani Dham. Lot of people visit this place on Saturday, so there is always a rush at this temple in the evening.
